Photo Journalism 

My favorite piece to compile this year was a spotlight on a student artist that featured 14 of her paintings, each captioned with a quote from the artist about that particular piece. I had a great experience coming up with this concept and seeing it come to life. The gallery is linked here. 

I created a photo gallery at the end of my the 2022 school year to recap the iliad events, magazine production, and accomplishments of the year. I thought it would be an engaging way to keep our audience informed about what we've been working on. The gallery is linked here. 

At the start of my first year as Editor, the magazines created by the previous Editors arrived and my Co-Editor and I delivered copied of the magazine to students whose work was featured in it.

In one of our club meeting activities, we gave students the opportunity to take film photos. We bought two disposable cameras and students took turns taking photos around our school. When we got the photos developed, I decided to turn the photos into a time capsule photo gallery of what Clarke Central looks like in 2022. I captioned each photo as well. During our summer workshop, we were assigned to partner with another student in the program and each hold 3 minute interviews and write a scene as a Partner Spotlight. My partner was Photographer Aza Khan and we had an interesting conversation about her family. 

I did a spotlight on a student musician named Sola Ishibashi whose original sheet music was published in the 2021 edition of the iliad magazine. I featured her to highlight a student creating unique art and to show students the range of creativity that the iliad publishes. The scene is linked here.
